Our staircases are built out of select or better materials. When we quote a job, you are getting the best materials that we can locate and, with the exception of box posts, all of it is made right here in the U.S. You will never see melamine, MDF or particle board in any of our projects. The tread staves are almost a full inch wider than those found at box stores, hand selected to the best match. Poplar risers and skirt boards instead of imported pine and mdf.
All treads have a corrected rise of no more than 1/8" and a total of 3/8" overall and we don't leave gaps for supposed expansion... Each tread is reinforced across it's full width, leveled side to side and front to back. Original framing is secured, reinforced and bolted to existing studs or newly installed supports.
